Elle Fanning rocks retro-chic sunglasses while leaving a local restaurant with big sister Dakota on Sunday (May 13) in Los Angeles.

The blonde beauties took mom Joy and their grandmother out to celebrate Mother�s Day.

A couple days later, Elle was spotted out and about after working up a sweat at the gym.

Elle, 14, was recently confirmed for the role of Princess Aurora in the upcoming live-action, Disney film, Maleficent, which is based on the classic animated movie, Sleeping Beauty.

Dakota & Elle Fanning: Fashionable Sneaker Sisters

Spotted out sporting their comfy footwear, Dakota Fanning and her sister Elle Fanning both spent the day in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday (May 12).

The "War of the Worlds" actress rocked her sneakers paired with yoga pants, a black and grey striped top and a fedora while hiking with her mom and even stopped by a lemonade stand to purchase a refreshing drink from two young neighborhood girls.

Her little sis also chose the casual apparel option rocking her Marc Jacobs wedge sneakers with jeans and a classic white tee as she was spotted leaving a friend's house with music notes in hand.

In career news, the 14-year-old star has accepted a role in the new Robert Stromberg directed film, "Maleficent." The Sleeping Beauty tale is told from the perspective of the princess' evil nemesis, Maleficent and Fanning is set to star as Princess Aurora.

Angelina Jolie is also set to star in the new fantasy which isn't planned to hit theaters until 2014.

Dakota Fanning lets her Acne jeans run a little low as she arrives at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon (May 8).

Earlier this week, the 18-year-old actress wore a gorgeous Louis Vuitton dress to the 2012 MET Ball.

It was just announced (via Deadline) that Juno Temple will be replacing Dakota in the upcoming Wild Side (formerly titled, Mississippi Wild.)

Juno has also taken over Dakota's role in Girl's Night Out.

India Eisley Joins 'Maleficent' as Young Angelina Jolie

India Eisley is going to the dark side again.

The 18-year-old actress is set to play a young Maleficent, opposite Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning, in the upcoming flick of the same name.

The movie will "explore the origins of the evil fairy and what led her to curse Princess Aurora (Fanning) in Disney�s animated classic Sleeping Beauty," Variety reports.

It was also announced that Sharlto Copley will co-star as Stefan, the half-human, half-fairy bastard son of the human king (Kenneth Cranham), Sam Riley as Maleficent�s right-hand man, Miranda Richardson as Maleficent�s regal aunt, and Brit thesps Imelda Staunton and Lesley Manville as pixies who care for Aurora.

Maleficent is set to start production in June.

The 18-year-old actress took a break from her finals week at New York University to attend the annual gala.

Dakota is wearing a Louis Vuitton gown, bag, and shoes with Fred Leighton jewelry.

This year's Costume Institute Gala Benefit � celebrating the opening of the Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibition � is co-chaired by Carey Mulligan, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, and designer Miuccia Prada.

Elle Fanning Confirmed For Maleficent, Large Supporting Cast Added

The Angelina Jolie-starring Maleficent, which tells the story of Sleeping Beauty with a focus on the wicked queen, is gearing up for production in advance of its March 14, 2014 release, but casting has been remarkably slow. Last week Sharlto Copley entered talks to play the King, and there had been rumors that Elle Fanning might play the sleeping Princess Aurora, but that was pretty much it.

Now, in what looks like a big burst of activity, a huge portion of the cast has been filled out. THR reports that a ton of British actors are joining the proaction, including Imelda Staunton and Lesley Manville as pixies who take care of Princess Aurora, Miranda Richardson as the fairy Queen Ulla who is also Maleficent's aunt, Sam Riley as Maleficent's right-hand man who can transform into a raven, and Kenneth Cranham as the human king aiming to conquer the fairy kingdom. The report also confirms that Fanning will indeed play Aurora, and clarifies that Copley won't be playing a human king, but a half-human, half-fairy bastard son of the king.

That's a whole lot of talent for one movie, and Maleficent could probably use it-- the director is Robert Stromberg, who had worked as a production designer on films like Alice in Wonderland and Avatar before making his directorial debut here. Obviously with Jolie in the lead role the movie will be a force to be reckoned with, but having so many skilled actors-- particularly Mike Leigh veterans Staunton and Maville-- in the supporting roles can only boost its cred.

Now that we have Elle Fanning confirmed as Aurora, are you ready to see her go toe to toe with Jolie? Or do you suspect as I do that, no matter how talented the younger Fanning sister is, she'll be demolished by a screen presence by Jolie? It might not be a fair matchup, but it's one I'm eager to see regardless.

Dakota Fanning hits the pavement as she treks her way back to class in New York City on Tuesday afternoon (May 1).

The 18-year-old actress had a super busy weekend � checking out the DKMS Blood Cancer Gala as well as the White House Correspondents� Dinner in the nation�s capital.

"Arianna Huffington was attached to her publication�s guest, Dakota Fanning. . . Actually, tangled up with is a better description," The Washington Post writes.

"The two stood so close that Fanning's glitzy Prada gown clung to Huffington's neon Nanette Lepore, rhinestones poised to ravage lace. Fanning tugged lightly as Huffington chatted away with others, seemingly unaware as the young starlet gingerly pulled the embellishments off her host."
