Dakota Fanning: Soho Stroll with Friends

Dakota Fanning keeps warm in a pale pink coat as she goes out to lunch with mom Joy and a friend at Soho Park on Monday (January 30) in New York City.

The 17-year-old actress returned to her all-blonde �do after sporting some fun pink tips in her hair earlier in the month.

In case you missed it, Dakota currently graces the cover of the February issue of Cosmopolitan magazine and ELLE UK.

FYI: Dakota is wearing limited edition Elizabeth and James �Taylor� sunglasses � the frame is encrusted with over 400 Swarovski crystals and the lenses are wrapped with 18k gold!

This is a reminder that we will be having a meeting in our Chat room all day on Saturday. The topic is going to be Dakota's 18th Birthday Project, and everyone (Admins, Members, non-Members) is invited to participate!

Since we are all in different time zones, I was thinking that people can go on when they can and post their thoughts, ideas, etc.

The Chat room is currently closed so that non-Members cannot post, but I will change that on Friday (and post a link to the chat room on the home page) so that non-Members can join in, too.

I chatted with the Super 8 actress about her love of fashion and her growing reputation as a style icon. �I�ve always loved clothes ever since I was little,� she told me, adding that she�s �really close� with Rodarte designers Laura and Kate Mulleavey. Elle, who was nominated for Best Young Actor/Actress, was giddy when discussing her status. �I look up to so many people in fashion,� she said, �so it�s funny for people to say that I�m a fashion icon.�

Elle�s big sister, Dakota, has outed her as a serious Robert Pattinson fan, so I had to ask her about maybe one day working with the Twilight star. �I would love that!� said Elle. �My sister said he was so nice, and I got to meet him at the premiere. That would be fun!� she said with a smile. Let�s make it happen, Hollywood!

Elle Fanning holds onto her notebook as she leaves a study session late last week in Studio City, Calif.

The 13-year-old actress recently chatted with Teen Vogue mag about her Hollywood crush at the moment: Ryan Gosling.

"Me and my friends saw Crazy, Stupid, Love, and we were freaking out," she dished. "Everyone falls in love with him after that."

But, that doesn't mean she's ready for the dating world.

Elle shared, "In seventh grade, it was sort of a big deal to have a boyfriend. You're not in elementary school anymore, and you feel a lot older. But you can't do anything. Your mom has to drop you off! It's sort of awkward. You're sitting here, and the parents are over there. I don't know�not for me!"

WME Signs Dakota And Elle Fanning

Dakota and Elle Fanning have signed with WME. The teenage actresses made the agency rounds recently after leaving Cindy Osbrink, whose Osbrink Talent Agency specializes in pint-sized talent and who agented the girls since they were children. It was time to move, as Dakota is turning 18 and Elle turning 14. The Fannings continue to be repped by mangers JJ Harris and Brittany Kahan at One Talent Management and lawyer is Steve Warren.

Dakota Fanning: Pink, Pink, Pink!

Dakota Fanning arrives at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon (January 20).

The 17-year-old actress was living up her love for pink � with a wallet, jacket and bag � and is now back in the Big Apple, to continue her education at NYU.

In Sundance news, Dakota is in final negotiations for Very Good Girls, Deadline reports.

The project is expected to start shooting this June in New York and finds two lifelong best friends (Fanning, Elizabeth Olsen) in the summer after their high school. When they fall in love with the same boy (Anton Yelchin), their quest becomes much more complicated and emotionally dangerous than they ever imagined. They come out of the summer more women than girls, but in ways that they never imagined.
